West Virginia Continuing Education Requirements

Hours Required
• West Virginia requires licensees to complete 7 hours of state approved education every year.

Compliance Date
• Courses must be completed by June 30th on a yearly basis.

Approved Course Delivery Methods
• Classroom
• Interactive Online or Textbook self-study (a passing score of 75% or better is required on the comprehensive exam consisting of both objective and subjective questions. The student must also execute an affidavit under the penalties of false swearing stating he or she is the individual that completed the final examination, that he or she received no assistance while completing the examination and that he or she actively studied the material in the course for at least the number of hours specified to be awarded for completion of the course.)

Course Subject Requirements
• Agents may take any West Virginia approved course for Continuing Education credit.
